Technical description
Cube sugar is sugar pressed into a regular solid and dried so that it holds that shape through packing, transport and handling. It is judged on three things at once: the sugar itself, the geometry of the cube, and how well the cube survives the journey to the buyer's shelf or table.
How it is made here
The cube is formed and dried on our own production line. Because the forming and the drying are ours, the characteristics a buyer complains about most — a crumbling edge, a cube that will not release from the pack, a surface that has taken up moisture — are set at a point in the line we control and sample at.
What decides whether it arrives well
Moisture and mechanical strength travel together. A cube dried and packed correctly reaches a distant market intact; the same cube packed for a short domestic route will not. That is why the packing arrangement below is agreed against your actual route and climate, not chosen from a standard list.
The figures for your consignment are reported by our quality control laboratories and issued with the goods. The table that follows sets out which parameters are reported and on what basis, so that your technical department knows what it will receive before it asks for a sample.

Figures are entered from the certificate of analysis issued by our own laboratories for the consignment you buy, so that the sheet in your file describes your goods and not a general product claim.
